THE PANTS PROJECT, created by Kim Engstrom, Founder, Green Tara Design, originally emerged from her love of travel and fashion and was inspired by the incredibly talented hand block artists of India. What grew from there is a desire to give directly back to the artists themselves.
All of our fabrics and designs are hand-made from high-quality 100% cotton and natural dyes. By drawing together the cultural traditions of hand block printing and custom tailoring, our mission is to inspire you to wear clothes that are cherished and celebrated as symbols of humanity and admiration for the planet we live on.
Our mission is rooted in compassion, generosity, and respect — values that define what we think it means to be beautiful inside and out. Behind every design is a team of dedicated women tailors whose craftsmanship sustains families and traditions across generations.
